Research & Development Scientist

Job Description

Star Hi Herbs is looking for a talented R&D Scientist to join our innovative research team. This role focuses on developing new herbal extract formulations, improving existing products, and conducting research to support product efficacy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in natural product chemistry and formulation development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new herbal extract formulations and improve existing products
• Design and conduct experiments to evaluate product stability and efficacy
• Collaborate with Quality Control to establish specifications for new products
• Stay current with scientific literature and industry trends
• Prepare technical documentation and research reports
• Support the technical aspects of product commercialization
• Participate in cross-functional team projects
• Contribute to intellectual property development

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Pharmacognosy, Natural Product Chemistry, or related field
• 2-4 years of experience in R&D, preferably in herbal extracts or natural products
• Strong understanding of extraction techniques and formulation development
• Experience with analytical methods for natural product characterization
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for dietary supplements
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong scientific writing and communication abilities

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of phytochemistry and natural product analysis
• Experience with formulation development for dietary supplements
• Familiarity with stability testing protocols
• Publication record in relevant scientific journals (preferred)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
